yes they have PHP editors :-) the idea behind them is to highlight the different elements of the code (if you were thinking like Dreamweaver you are majorly off I havnt found something like that yet)

I use a no name one that does the trick but there is always notepad :-)

Are php editors just for finding your mistakes or can they actually help you make the things? Also, do you recommend any certain(free) program?

In fact they help u to make things !! and it depends on the quality of the software ! the best one is obviously Zend Studio but it is expensive (300$).

I am using recently a new one scriptomania That's a good one that improves itself often ! the version 2.1 is better than the other versions, u can give it a try for free, and it costs 17$ or so, there are others also such as Xpert !!

otherwise if u r good at PHP there is always notepad ;)

Well I think u have to test 3 or 4 editors ! the one that is good for me or for someone else may be sucking 4 u so try some of them before choosing yours :rolleyes: it depends too on ur PHP level :)
