I was working on a new oil painting and decided to complete scanned image of it with help of Wacom tablet. I am new to this tool. Right now I’ve done only two seashells. I hope you like it.

All painting was done with traditional brushes. I started to repaint digitally only the seashells and I am going to continue to pain all over the painting. You can see how the seashells look different from rest of the painting.

I'd like to see more shadow behind the left side of the conch shell, like the shadows behind the other two, since it looks a little flat. But overall, it's very beautiful!

Thank you colordesign, infamouselife, prodigie and designedbyjulie for the kind words.
Unfortunately something bad happens to my painting. After I have saved my image and opened it again in Corel Painter all colors have changed absolutely. They became pale. So I’ve decided to take a break from drawing.

Your work AMAZING, I love the fine art as well as the graphic design. If I am half as good as you at some point in my career i will be lucky.

Looks nice. (critique coming.....)

My advice (as if you want it) is to pump up the contrast in the ridge within the shells. That should help the background feel farther away.

That is amazing! How long has it taken you to do the two shells with the tablet?

It took me few hours to draw with the tablet on top of my paint. When you are drawing you don`t really think about time. Thanks for the compliments.

Max, I love how you integrated your painting with using the Wacom board as a tool to create the shells, because you really created a very interesting, likeable illustration.

I like to paint myself, & have attempted to use the Wacom. However, I think it is faster just to paint. I think if I could my drawing centered right from the tablet to the screen I would like to use the Wacom drawing tablet more. I've gotton as far as drawing a simple image. But, for some reason I just can't figure out how to get the drawing from the board centered on the screen correctly, and it has driven me bonkers, so I developed an aversion to the thing. Every time I think of the board I think of off centered drawings on my computer screen.

I like the board because are so many amazing tools and transparancies you can use without having to use messy paint. Have any tips on how to remedy my problem with centering the image from board to screen?

Thank you for the comment. I think your problem could be in the Wacom settings. Try to go to Wacom Tablet Properties – Mapping and check the Screen area and Tablet area. By default the setting Full should be checked.
Let me if this helps. :)
