I would agree. Continue working in Corel, or better yet, work in illustrator. That is best because it it vector and can be scaled for business cards to billboards. Anything created in illustrator can be imported to photoshop later for other uses.

You can make logos also with Photoshop but is not the best software for this purpose. The best software for logo are Corel and Illustrator.
But if you use Photoshop always use shapes so the logo will be a vector graphic.

Use Flash... PS allows you to use animated work, via the animation window, but only exports as PNG or AnimGIF! GO FLASH!!! Waaay cooler - so many more option and effects for nice banners! PLUS, they load faster..

I definately prefer Illustrator for making logos. Sometimes if I want to sketch out a rough logo idea, I do it in Photoshop, because some functions and tricks just go faster in PS, but later I do the whole work in Illustrator. A logo that is not a vector, is pretty useless, you never know for what it will be used in the future, and needs to be flexible for all kinds of resizing etc.
By the way, I would recommend to switch from corel to illustrator, it offers more flexibility at least I found so. When I switched from Freehand and Corel a long while ago - to Illustrator, it was hard in the beginning, because the userface was so different, but now I cannot every imagine to go back to the others, because there is simply NOTHING you cannot accomplish in Illustrator!
