Hi all,

The contest holder gave feedback and requested for some revisions. The thing is I ran out of my submission slots.
I`ve mentioned about it to him. Maybe he is quite new as I am about this level and submission thing.
what I better do? Asking him again to rate my design first? that`ll be a little too pushy, right?

Hi sharie I've seen some projects here are 100% Vector but to stand out, the designers put a drop shadow (not vector) that is allowed?
An d if one of these designs win, as it does to provide shade in vector, the CH thinks the shadow is part of the logo

If a design is reported we review it. If you see a design you think is not a vector report so we can review it. I have to have proof they are not vector before I can remove the entry, just assuming or thinking is is not vector will not be good enough. When the design is reported I ask for the source files, If it is not vector then then it is removed.

Right now the honeyvile contest has some that look like photos, they are not I have already reviewed them. I am sure some go through. I have removed about 100 entries from the honeyville contest,

I download all winning designs to make sure they are vector as well. Designers are fined if the winning design is not fully vectorized, 25 hr to make the design vector plus they receive 50 infraction points for the design not being vector.

Every winning design is 100% vector

Zeca, we can use "drop shadow" (as long as you expand it)... it is just (not the same, but used as effect) as you/we use transparent shadow under the logo. However, it is not recommendable, we have to be careful with that due to reasons such as type of used media for logo or different color and pattern background... and of course, if client would like to have such effect.

I assume, Sharie was referring to the designs created in PSD.
