The 2 weeks inactivity rule remembers me some typical dictatorship practices that I did live years ago.

By the way, I just "coming back" after an uncomfortable disease. During my convalescence I did receive several menaces from DesignContest saying that I was near to lose points due to my inactivity. I did send a protest and they gave me ten days grace or so. Wow, thanks! Not even Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta was so fair!

Also, I travel a lot so I'm afraid I'll lose a lot of points practicing this act of liberty.

The best adjective for that rule is "Ridiculous".

I must review the rest of them.

Best regards,

Sergio

Hi,
To my experience, this has nothing to do with the website(DC)
It's a problem I also encounter with certain browsers...
You might want to restart your browser, hope this helps :)

I had the same problem yesterday for a while. I didn't pull any actions, and it was fine couple of minutes later.

I have had the same problem repeatedly during the last week. As Babba says the site looks normal after a couple of "refresh".

Server too busy? slow connection? unstable one? All at the same time?

Doesn't seem to be a bug.

I have this problem and I think it's due to that I have a fast connection but very unstable.

You can test the download speed from DC server.

Me too.. It seem like designers here are chained and caged.. Were in give and take relationship here, are we not? MORE RULES ON DESIGN ENTRIES WOULD BE TOLERABLE, BUT THIS SYSTEM IS GETTING TOO MUCH.

ARE WE NOT FREE?

Since no one really likes 2weeks inactivity rule, and it IS a bit dictatorial, I believe DC should change it.
We will get to the point when people will be really sick of it and give up on DC.
I agree, there should be some type of, well not penalty, that sounds harsh, but reasonable and logical point removal if user has been inactivate for a month or so.
Look at this way, I know this is a free will, but... the other day I went on a short vacation, I had to send a ticket, or better say - a vacation leave request - as I am on real full-time job, with only difference - I'm not getting payed for it, but you guys, the DC stuff do, so please take all of ours thoughts, feelings and hard work in consideration.

hello everyone, I'm new here and I have been reading the forum, see contests, etc. before i start submitting designs, in my opinion I think he should not be allowed to use backgrounds, if a winning design use background must the end files be provided with the background? I think this will be an added difficulty to the of the contest holder , as the mock-ups worse, I think only if the CH request. The rules of DC, I see has changed and there is no consensus among designers, levels is something i still do not quite understand, but I will understand with time

This is not going to change.

That what we have for a answear the other thread, there somewhere was a resurepus post saying exactly thesame on that subject, but i can't find it right now.
It seems like there is no chance for our opinions to be heard, decisions was made and case is closed.

I disagree. i find that mockups help a CH to get a realistic view of its application. Not everyone has a visual/artistic mind and this helps a lot
