Great news for all! Dersigncontest.com is pleased to announce we now offer "guaranteed contests"

This is an option the contestholder can choose when they start the contest or after the contest has gone live.

I'm curious to see how the non-guaranteed contest will have to suffer over time. Lets hope that won't happen

Thank you sharie, other sites use this formula for a long time but design contest has always had "serious customers" , I do not ever a competition without a winner. but it is a pleasant news!

Hehe Funny how i thought the contests we all guaranteed all along. I had noticed yesterday that something had changed but I thought it was the other way around, that the client had an option NOT to guarantee the contest....lol.

I don't understand, difference between guarantee and non-guarantee is.....?

yes all contests are prepaid but bow when the contestholder chooses guaranteed, they give up the use of the refund policy and guarantee a winner in the contest

would it be possible to give contest holders an incentive to come back and pick a winner? Perhaps take a deposit which they'll get back once they've closed off properly. I've posted this here because I think this is particularly relevant to guaranteed contests although it could be implemented across all contests.
