Unfortunately you cannot turn illustrator files into a jpeg img because it is a vector based program which means files usually save as .ai files.
However, you can always create the logo in illustrator save it as a .ai file and then open up the .ai file in photoshop and do SAVE AS and choose jpeg under file type. Make sure you do SAVE AS and not just Save because then you will corrupt your vector file and make it so you cannot make any changes if need be.
