I sent a link to my portfolio to get approved, BUT I just remembered that I don't have recent logo work in there, only illustrations

How can I get in touch again with the person responsible so I can send a working portfolio link??

Thanks!

Would it be okay to send a message to the contest holder?
To tell him that I have two proposals, but until my submission to get approved as a designer I can't post in that forum?

Or should I try to send him a link with the images uploaded to Imageshack or some other hosting service?

:(

Hi computerlove,

I'm not sure how much you've read about the Design Team, but I must tell you that it's not as simple as sending your portfolio on day one and being admitted on day two. For one, you have to be a part of our site for at least one week in order to even qualify for the Design Team. Secondly, the application process from start to finish can take up to a couple of weeks. Last but certainly not least, you have to be voted in by the members of this forum based on how useful your posts are.

Also, since you are not currently on the team, we would appreciate if you could please not advertise the fact that you have made entries for a contest. This may seem like an innocent act, but I assure you it can cause a lot of trouble for everyone. No doubt you put a lot of effort into your design. It's unfortunate that this happens, but it does serve as a reminder for people not to rush into things and read all the details ;)

Please do stick around, computerlove. I'm sure you'll find some other benefit to extract from DC until you are ready to apply. Read, post, participate.

Good luck!

no. Contest are for design team members only. Submitting concepts via message, or messaging a contest holder during active contest is AGAINST designcontest policy.

Contest holders are here because of the design team, and reputation, so until you are on team, do not post any content found on designcontest(this means a logo concept for anything on here)

I'm sorry computerlove, but this would be completely unacceptable. So much so, in fact, that your account may be banned as a result. We take the Design Team very seriously, and we do not wish for people to try and circumvent it in any way. The team is the only way to get to the contest holders. We expect all new members to understand and respect this rule.

Hi again, yes, it was an act of naiveness, I thought that all I needed was to register and I could be able to submit designs, I never thought it was going to take a week or even more... It's good to know there's a team behind to make sure there's quality by reviewing people who joins :)
Well, I can only hope that the contest doesn't end before I get accepted :D

thanks!

P.S.: I still have the question, to whom can I send a link to my better portfolio?

Normally those types of things go to me, but please don't take the updating approach. It will require extra bookkeeping on my end, which I'm not very eager to do. Instead, simply send in a new application once you've met all of the Design Team requirements.
