If I want to make minor edits to a design I've already submitted to a contest (without being asked by a CH), do I just remove my existing submission and resubmit the edited version, to count as another one of my 3 allotted entries? Or is there a way to edit submitted designs?

Also, I'm having trouble figuring out how to delete or remove one of my submitted designs.

I feel like these are really newbie questions, for which I'm sorry :).

Hi ereis,

No need to apologize for asking questions!

Once a design is submitted to a contest, you are not able to delete it or make any edits to it, you'll have to use another one of your entries to post the revision. Keep this in mind when finalizing an entry and carefully look it over before posting.

Additionally, there is currently no system in place for removing your entries once they are posted. This is, however, something that we're looking into adding to the site.

Some of your questions may be already answered in the Knowledgebase or in other threads as well, so take a look around - there's a wealth of information available here!

Good luck!
:) Brandy

Thank you Brandyarnold!
I appreciate your kind reply. I've just been browsing some threads and was able to find some answers there too...I guess my only question now is this: since we are not allowed to post variations of the same design, will my first design submission be removed automatically once I post the revision, since the designs will basically look the same?

@ ereis
at DC, we can only submitted 3 designs.
we must be sure before posting that it was a design for the best. With so we must work very carefully and thoroughly.
Indeed in other communities each entry can be withdrawn.
Ok, good luck at the other project

You're welcome. ;)

To clarify - you are welcomed to post variations of YOUR OWN design, just not variations of someone else's. For example, if you posted one design and now want to show a slight variation of that design, you may post it as another entry.

The point here is that:
1. you can't copy anyone else's work (I'm not suggesting that you would even do that, just explaining)

and, 2. you can only put one variation of your design per entry (meaning, don't put 2 variations of the same basic design onto one contest entry. a variation, however slight, must be on it's own canvas, as it's own separate entry.

Hope that makes sense!
:) Brandy
