I designed this image for a T-shirt.
They like it alot and only have asked for color variations to see on different colored shirts.

so I was playing with it and made a Web applicable version.

and w/ a border around it just for the heck of it.

Then wanted to see what it could look like as a header for a website.
I think it's a bit week.. they currently have space on their header for ad banners so I added that. The seconary image is to show it's not just dodge trucks but dodge cars and trucks.

Just want to get some feedback from fellow designers and what you would do different. I feel I've captured the "feel" of the site w/ the logo-shirt deisgn as it doesn't give direct reference to any one type of vehicle except it's a dodge.
thanks for looking.
I want to hear from all you hard asses or Vet. DC members also...please. :D

I think it looks good but it gets hard to read on the diamond plate bkgd for the web. I might suggest an outer glow to help stand it off. Dig the bevel effect and it'd be cool to utilize it for the tees as well. Are you familiar with spot color separations in photoshop? If not let me know, I can help you with it. I've been in the tee design biz for years and I do all my own color separations. Anyway, nice work!

Thanks for the feedback. I was actually playing with an outer glow a bit, but the web one was just for preview/playing around, I don't think they'll be using it.
They wanted to keep the printing costs down for the shirts so only did a two color (max was 3 color). I did a simple black out seperation for the colors when I sent the files.
But would love to hear about how you seperate spot colors in photoshop.
One never knows, what one will learn.

I agree. I kinda had a hard time looking at the shirt - it's a great design, it was just a little hard to read with the grill running through the text (the red and the gray kinda have the same brightness...so they blended at first) I like the bevel on the web application!

Thanks
I did tweek the gray on the final version so it'd show up on dark and light shirts. I also darkened the red a bit.

I wasn't sure how I was going to do the web one at first then just started playing around and hit it on the first shot for it to look that way.. I just hope they use it for their site. Since this was specifically for shirts, just thought I'd give them a little extra. LOL
