    My works. :)

Hello, this is my logo portfolio. I am working on logos very hard, I hope to hear some suggestions and why not, if you are a logopond user too, land me a line with your page or some comments on the site.

Since you gave a crit you get get a crit Its nice to see another design student active on multiple sites but something I noticed is that you don't keep your branding (ie logo and name constant) across the sites (i'm not perfect at this either but in most cases I use one Rockhart)
as for the actual portfolio you have some good logos... and then some logos that need work. I like the "FoodVending" mark and color and the fonts ok... but I really don't like the dots in the O's... I like the "Dot.Ink" mark. the "My Break" is interesting and very well done. I think what would help the most is if you designed your logos only using black and white... and then thought about the color (of course this depends on what the logo will be used for too.. but I'm just traditional that way :P) Hope this helps and keep up the good work!

Nice works The one I think I liked the most was the nomad labs the one w/ the box.
I think some of your text or font choices could have been better and saw a couple kerning issues (this is my week point as well though LOL). But overall some solid work there.

Impressive portfolio, I like the fact that you dont stay stacked with some kind of typo, Im a typo fan, Also loved your color combinations, green and orange are my favourites.
Keep the good work. As a suggestion, you can refine your curves in some ways.
Good luck and if you have time check out my deviantart place, I would aprecciate it.

    Hi
The logo I like the most is the one you made for Quentin Green...I find it very simple and stylish ! You achieved to represent in the logo the spirit of the men's job as lawyer : clear and straight to the target . Very nice!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I am delighted to see someone noticed my deal with keeping the same personal logo It's a very interesting point. I actually sometimes get Terrified with my old work, I really say "how the hell could I think this logo worked!" but well this is normal, I love when that happens, it means I'm improving. So I often have a problem being satisfied with my actual logo, as my style changes everyday. But of course a simple and working logo could be used. Maybe I could just enhance it with my skills, in time. Thanks for underlining this 'weak point' I have: being remembered out there on the net is Very important, indeed. I'll keep that in mind.

It's also interesting to see how your tastes are so different, I see every designer here has a personal identity. I found many sites where the 'new cliches' of graphic were the only style accepted. I don't like works which are all the same! I love evolution.

As for the creating process, I usually sketch down on a note my idea (which can come in the most inexpected moments. Like, while you are washing your dishes or in bathroom, we all know!) Sometimes I think BEFORE about the colors than the logo. I don't really know if this could be a correct path, but I will learn with time.

I liked all your galleries as they were very original. I repeat, I like experimenting. I see you are all not stuck with a style. Waqqas's style is very dreamy sometimes. I believe with time your work will be very easily recognizable around. Geko's very clean, I like also people who work very 'square', if I am explaining what I mean. In fact, I change very often between these two different worlds and am quite hard to find a balance.
I believe I saw also Coy's logopond I remember a clean type but creative, something close to what I am trying to achieve.

Thanks for all then. Don't worry about being rude, you can tell me whatever you think about my works. Infact on logopond I am quite famous for getting comments like "I see a whale here! What the heck has it to do with the brand name?" etc. But logos can be abstract also, people tend to forget this.

    Cheers and thanks for looking!

    H.

love that last statement. alot of people want some sort of letter or spacific image to show their branding. When alot of times a simple great looking abstract shape would work just as well if not better.

Good works my friend I like "Fly to Quebec" logo. I also love your "Nomad Labs" - the one without the box, but I really don't understand the way you sequenced the dots :'(

Don't worry, seems like those dots really ain't a success! though, thanks for your suggestion

@Coy, exactly. I want to create something more original than usual -food for restaurant, -car for car sellers, -cd for music producer. There are so many illustrative logos out there it would be impossible to create something original with these basic ideas.

I love the "Fly to Quebec" logo, you can really feel the motion of the plane.

I had trouble with the "Selektive" logo, since I hadn't understood the whole arrow concept at first and I think it is also rather difficult to read.

    Other than that amazing work.

Thanks. I am seeing all the errors you all point out slowly with time... And I get terrified, like always. Well, means I'm improving, but seeing your yesterday's work and think "I seriously must have taken drugs" is normal, after all? I'm strange I know. Thanks for your imput, I find it quite too light and hard to read too, now that I'm becoming more aware of some basic rules.

i saw someone commented on your kerning...i great trick i use while checking kerning is while your designing flip the words upside down. It makes it a lot easier to see uncomfortable spaces because your not distracted by reading the word. Just a little tip i got told and thought it was useful

    Cheers

I completely agree with that quote, and I think you're going in the right direction by trying new things and continuing to evolve. Why be boring, right?

You've got some great logos in there. My personal favorites are MyBreak, NetBrains, and Play Fish. You have a good mix of typography and graphic logos, which is great.

@iTL: The advice about the kerning is great! Thanks for sharing I'm definitely going to give that try.
