im 18, started when i was 15 though, i don't think age has much to do with design quality at all from what ive seen... but the older and more experienced you get the better personal networks you can build and you'll have an easier job marketing a website
well, here I thought things got better with age! I can't believe all the people that are under the age of 20. Being 23, I thought I could come to this site and learn alot from people who have been in the industry for years, turns out I may learn just as much from the younger ones. Looking forward to the future!
I just turned 23 yesterday. I've been inactive for a while... I'm planning to join the design team. Have a great day everyone.

I think a more interesting dicussion would be: does age matter? Maybe not in terms of talent, but what about appeal? Is young age a turn-off for potential clients? Are the I'm-only-17-please-pat-me-on-the-back-designers discouraging clients? I'm not talking about this thread, because obviously the thread is titled "Age"; I'm talking about young designers who display it prominently on their own website/portfolio. I'd be interested to hear everyone's thoughts on this.
