Hi guys.

i'm wondering where i can download some nice free font. I know there's a lot out there, but i'll looking for some nice modern font like eurostile or microgramma. That kind of style but trendier. Anyone?

Eurostile is a font you need to pay for to get it. If you want to use the font for commercial use I recommend you to buy them instead of using free ones, if you don't want to get sued by the designers.

i know eurostile is not free.. I'm looking for freeware font, not those rubbish, gimmick fonts, but nice ones. You know, like for sofwares, now there's opensource stuffs.. i presume for fonts it's the same. Just trying to find those :)

entz, you pump out logos like a factory all the time over on sitepoint's contest forums. I highly doubt that you have any problems finding fonts, free or otherwise. Even still, the only free font sites that are any decent (that I know of) are urbanfonts.comn and dafont.com .

That sitepoint really slow website lol. Also quite awefull navigation to find the contest area. But quite big website. Seem everybody can enter the contest there and seem very little interaction between contest holders and designers.
Also see allot of photoshopped logo instead of vector logo's.

i really only have 2 issues with sitepoint, those being that it seems to be only and all about the money so designers don't take the time to just enter a couple high quality entries and instead they 'manufacture' as many as they can to simply try to win the money, which winds up being junk. The other issue being that the site does not get the prize money upfront and instead you have to work it out with the client and often contests get abandoned because of this.

onesummer...i may pump out logos, but need to update my font library. And i like sitepoint..i like the way it displays the logos on the contest page. But i'll have to agree that quality is at a all time low. And yes, a lot of those photoshop logos with lots of efffects are appearing :) Most of the clients that i had to deal with are quite honest and pays. But the abandoned contests is just silly. Recently a lot of contests has been abandoned. It has always been an issue. Maybe someday they'll fix that. But right now, my aim is to join the design team here. Always looking for new challenges. Logosauce is not bad as well. But a bit slow.

Here's another free font site with some OK fonts: www.abstractfonts.com

Most are also available at dafont as well.

i've got other 10 thousand fonts in my library. let's just say it's not so easy to run through them each time. I gotta just sit down one day and pick my favorites out of them for various "industry categories" or something, because I bet I end up settling on a 2nd choice font just because I get tired of scrolling through them all. lol.
