I would like to share with you the works of another great artist, Todd Lockwood. This illustration is for the cover of third book of R.A. Salvatore's The Hunters Blades Trilogy, The Two Swords. Here you can also see the two scimitar using dark elf Drizzt Do' Urden (who is one of my favorite characters) is in some sort of trouble with orcs and giants.
