Hi!
:)

My name is Stig, and I'm a cartoonist and designer from Denmark. I found this website more or less by coincidence (while procrastinating from work), but after reading through some of the threads in the forums, I found it to be such an interesting place that I just had to join!

Here is some quick facts about me:

Full name: Stig Kristensen

Age: 24 (25.12.1985)

Born: Odense, Denmark.

Marital status: Happily married.

Occupation: Cartoonist at a regional newspaper, and then lots of various freelance jobs, everything from translation jobs, design, illustrating and so on.

Education: Studied philosophy at the University of Southern Denmark, but ended up dropping out just before graduation to take a multimedia designer course instead. You can't get work as a philosopher anyway.

Interests: I read a lot and I'm very interestend in politics and current affairs. I'm passionated about music, and play around with making my own every now and then. I like fashion and design, and I can't imagine living with out it.

My strengths and weakness: A strength is probably that I can focus 100% on a task an really get my self invovled in it, and give all that I got. I'm good at bringing multiple disciplines into play when solving a task. My weakness is probably managing myself, since I so easily get carried away. I tend to be perfectionist in the bad way, meaning I spend to much time on perfecting something, that doesn't need it, or where people aren't going to notice it anyway.

Right now I'm at a point in my life where I haven't really taken a direction yet. I have many things that I want to do, but the problem is that I want to do them all at once.
My wife and I will be moving to England from Denmark here in December, because she will be starting on a university course over there. I'm looking forward to going to England, because I think it opens up for a lot more opportunity for me, than if I stayed here in Odense (DK).

Haha, I guess Denmark and England has a lot in common when it comes to rainy weather. I should be moving to Spain or something like that instead.

You sometimes end up with unusual combinations when you aren't quite sure where you are going ;)
