I am a student in china but not a chinese and recently we had some lessons on web designing.I am quite interested in it but i am not creative.hope by joining this community i will be able to learn many things to inprove on my creativity and become a good designer.Hope you all will help me.Please if any one got hints,tips on web design or designing in general for me ,feel free to inform me.

A great way to start up on a website design is to work yourself out from a grid. That way you get a very clean look, and things are proportionate. However some feel like they are "trapped" by the grids, and are unable to let their creativity fully show in their designs. How you work is really up to you, it is the end result that matters.
Everyone is creative, sometimes it just takes a while to get started. Just make a website, you don't even need a client. Just think of something you like, and make a website for it. Or you can find a website for a company or service you enjoy, and fix their wrongs. If you want, you can send them your design afterwards, and if you're lucky. You've got yourself a client!
