    Need Help with a Logo

    Hi there,

    How you all doing?

    I'm new to the forum.

I have a logo that uses a very curly E, & in a couple of places the
line of the E becomes very fine. When I reduce the file size &
resolution, there appears to be dark or dirty spots where the font
"breaks up" in these fine areas. I am using photoshop and do not want
    to use any blurring effect.

    Pls. see the logo...

How can I fix this, as it looks fine when it's HUGE.

    Thanks

Is that font necessary for the logo? If it's not, I'd say pick another one. I like the graphic of the book a lot, but the curly/cursive font doesn't (in my opinion, of course) go well with it. I'd choose something less curvy, a more blocky type font would look good.

I don't care for the font, either. The letter 'E' by itself might be interesting, but the rest of the word 'Exotic' doesn't look right. Also, I'd suggest removing the drop shadow effect.

However, to answer your question, in Illustrator, convert the text to outlines and use the direct selection tool to manually adjust the thickness of the letter 'E' where you see fit.

Thanks for that. I finally found a logo designer who will fix it for me, but now she wants me to find a font I like for the word Exotic that is thicker. So when I've got a minute I'm going thru the URLs she sent me to see which fonts I like. I did want something scripty like that & of course solving the problem

Any suggestions? I'd prefer free of course.

    Have a great night !

I suggest that if you're looking for someone to do revisions to it for you, then post this as a low-cash contest (minimum required is $25, plus a 10% admin. fee - total would be $27.50).

We can host the contest for you here - and that way you would receive numerous different versions with more appropriate fonts - and no need for you to search for the font yourself.

Let us know if that's the route that you'd like to go.
