Question how to open .cdr file without Corel

Hi! I need some help with this, I received logos I have to put on a poster in .cdr file and I'm not gonna download even a trial of Corel since I find it unnecessary when I use Illustrator for vector graphics already. All the installation etc. it just takes time. I need to convert the file or open it in something else so I can work with it in Adobe's products. Any ideas how?

Thanks and I hope it's possible

Ah thank you very much I was so desperate to open it yesterday 'cos I really needed the logos so I downloaded the trial version instead. In the end it took me less time to dl it and install than trying to find another way how to open it
and thx for the converter, I hope it'll come handy next time I receive another unexpected format of a logo ^^

Usually to open a file created in a different program is by importing the file instead of open it. Hope this work for the program you use... Best of luck!

I have in the past found it useful (on a mac) to press alt and command (apple) as you drag the file into the illustrator dock icon. This can force the file to open. Works with other applications too. Always check the art against a JPEG if possible as importing un-native vector files into illustrator can have unpredictable results e.g. slicing objects into strips.
