Quick tips to reduce your master vector file size
if you got problem when uploading/sending the master, because it,s too large (example : Ai) file.
open your file adn then...
1. Remove/delete unused items/vectors
2. Remove unused/All "swatches", "brushes", "symbols", "graphic style".
well that should reduce the file about few MB
that's all i know
any other tips to these problem?

Good post! If you expand any strokes in your design (convert them to outlines), this will reduce the file size too!

Remember to expand if you have used live paint, expand after the click merge in pathfinder. If you merge you will conect all the same colors to one that touch each so doing this will make the file smaller as well. Doing this also helps and makes it easier to make layers for colors all one color on one layer, to ready for print.
spot color gradients and any effects that have been fully vectorized will have larger file size, have you ever looked the part of your design you have expanded that was a gradient? what a mess, it is best to learn how to create halftones

another thing to remember any effects like blur or other effects, styles, filters any of this will make the vector file very large and.....most of these effects and styles are not vector, they are raster, this will make your design not a vector , so that is something to always keep in mind
