Evening there, I'm new to this community. But guess we gonna see each other in the near future. Since I'm new in interpret client's logo ideas, I'm asking for your advice on this one and eventually many others.
The logo should interpret the client industry in a stylish way, red color is a must. They paid a studio lots of bucks for more amateur work than mine, and believe me I am such, yes. So, the company is about barcode printers, label printers and so on. They want something simple and meanwhile stylish.
I came up with this below, interpreting the second part of the names with barcode. However, it still looks rusty to me. Any tips, advices, maybe font suggest? Constructive criticism is welcome, I'm not getting offended by anything.
Edit: There should not be logo shapes, I mean no symbols or stylized shapes at all except something really simple like a barcode, or vectorized printer shape, the name of the company should be the logo itself.
Advice and critiques needed.

Hello, and welcome to Designcontest....the logo doesn't say anything to me, I 'see' the barcode idea, once you described.....I'd work on bringing this more 'out'....actually google barcode logos, there is a post here on.....just for inspiration;)

Thanks for fast reply. I did googled, and it's is not needed the logo to shout:
Rather just stylizing the idea of it, it could be anything else of course. Maybe just a stylized name, a nice font or something, thats my first mockup tho. I will look on what you said and try better.
Wait for an update! I know you all gonna stay in my thread and press F5 each 10 seconds.
Edit: May I also ask for the PSD of those cool looking pages that you use as a base for your logo designs in the contest (the background that is). I was trying to get it done (a similar one) in past, but failed at the end, thats why I'm using a gradient gray. I may still use it, but at least I would like to create this "page" effect. It will slightly help my amateur work.

no, a great logo never needs to shout, hey I'm a bar code, or Hey i'm a apple;)
A great logo is memorable;)
Maybe try some font options, since its text based....when I look I see sis, thats it;)

Good work! I like it.
One characteristic of bar codes is (depending on its length) either 2 or three pairs of bar drop further down than the rest. Check them out... Maybe something to work with.
I saw bar code immediately, but I also saw issues printing at smaller sizes - think corporate checks and business cards. You might have bleeding issues, not sure. think few bars.
I kinda like this, but further development is warranted.
