Hey guys -

Some eyes on this would be great, don't need too much critique on the code.
Just the frontpage is working, one click in works too (runs the transition)

Little minor things need not be pointed out, I'm aware of the bitmap scale issues and some of the vectors are a bit sloppy. Just trying to get concept->code taken care of at this point.

Would love to hear about big blaring terrible design decisions I might have made though :D

Thanks for looking! It'll be getting updated, so I might keep this thread going a bit.

lol

sorry I only have small, ferret sized nit picks...forgive me

* I'd consider setting the text on an angle

*"My name is" is too big...it compete with your actual name

* I'd also reduce and space out the blue text at the bottom

*I dig the pop up info cards but there's something about them I can't quite put my clicker one...

cool design though, I'll be on the lookout for updates

Well, everything is too big (for just text)
and too much text and too few graphics (for my taste).

It's like I have to step back from the screen in order to be able to read it - too hard to read in this size.

Also, I think it is more appropriate for your name to link to your bio, and Chicago to link to your contact info. It is just what I would expect to find behind these two.
Chicago is a city = address = contacts
Your name = personal info = full name, age, etc. = bio

I like how you have presented your age :) .

Thanks for the comments guys.

Site is now updated with a completed contact page.

@ Winter - I'll consider putting some text on angles, might be a cool way to display it
I'd played around with a smaller MY NAME IS, but didn't like it. If you'd like I could pop something out for you to see where the conflict is.
The blue bar on the bottom can't get too large, or the custom cursors come off of the page.
Let me know if that cursor problem comes up, I'll be tweaking those after I finish the remainder of the pages
@ DreamSky
The typographic approach was my call, I wanted the site to be a bit more swiss than most.
The large text I guess could be an issue, I currently have the site set to scale to browser window, it's hard because I have to account for plenty of different screen resolutions, and if I go too small it'll appear tiny on a large res screen, and if I go too big it'll pop scrollbars, it's a tough problem, but I can try to think of some way to limit it from getting too large.

The bio link is interesting, I had actually considered going that route but decided not to. I'd think that my logic is actually contrary to what you're stating, I think that where I live is more of a personal detail. My name is a professional aspect. Who knows though, if more people think like you do I'll end up switching it.

I'll keep chipping away at this. Next up is figuring out a way to display my graphic design gallery.

Very interesting concept and love the popup cards, very neat idea! Unfortunately, they run a bit slowly on my machine but it is old. Are they Flash objects?
