I edited your posts so we could see the images.
When selecting the links from photobucket use the one that has [img]
I can't remember what it actually says but I do know it's the last one to choose from

as for your works nice sketches.

The simpisity is nice but I can't for the life of me figure out what the background is suppose to be. but is kinda why I like it and not all at the same time.

very nice starts here-- I'm sure as you learn the pads touch more...the better and better you will get with it. also, with the vectoring - don't intimidate yourself out of it before going out. just bring that sketch into illustrator and make another layer above it and basically 'trace' the image with the pen to make your lines and segments. you could use the pencil but its going to depend on your preference or comfort level. good luck and post the progress - be great to see.

Good stuff.. I can see that your getting better and better. Try to get away from those "hairy lines"... Those will kill you later on.

Your last illustration is very good and traced out really well!

I think he's refering to the short sketchy lines you use to make your drawings..

Yeah, Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. Those "hairy lines" you can see really well on the mushrooms... but when you look at the mans face and nose you can see a more solid line that looks really nice. Thats not to say hairy lines are bad. But use them to research the actual shape you are going for. You will hear a ton of people in drawing refer to lines as "feeling" when you make those hairy lines it seems to create an odd jagged shape.

Notice how the face and head don't quite flow with the sword hes holding. Granted.. Live trace fixes this a bunch. But if you were not going to live trace it.. try going back over those sketch lines so you get more of a solid drawing.
    --------------
Now this could be your style of drawing (I am just assuming its not due to the face being drawn VERY well and the mushrooms are looking out of place) You will see a lot of cartoon artist and comic artist use this method to kind of add to the character of the drawing. (Take a look at the non sequitur comics)

Its merely more of a suggestion to make your drawings look more clean. But if you want to keep that edgy-ness make sure you use it throughout the whole drawing. (=

    Hope that helped.
