And thats why I wanna show you all a template i am working on.
Now the first version i will show you is not done yet, its far away form that. It's just the header so far.
I will be updating this from time to time when i feel like i've made progress.
I also want LOTS of feedback and ideas on this. This is my fourth template i ever made, 1 was for school, and i made 2 this week at the company where i'm a trainee ^^ *hope i said that correctly :p*

For me at least, it's really hard to comment on without more content.

The white G works much better than the black, that was a good change. The blue curves leave a large chunk of negative space on the right, while white space isn't a bad thing you might experiment with a few alternative here such as: creating a third 'wave' layer under the first two, perhaps making this one much lighter (think aqua or ghosted). You may even want to try a horizontal link menu under your blue header (once you have neutralized the white space a bit).

None of the vertical menus you have on the left seem to be perfect, almost as though the menu is a bit too small for the space as though the column is too wide for it.

One last thing, it may be my eyes, but it appears as though the top 'wave' needs its curved tweaked a bit (or rather smoothed a bit because it's a little tweaked ;) -just to the right of the G)

Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks for the feedback very much apreciated ^^

I've tried to make an extra curve to below the other "waves" however personally I disliked the outcome. I might tweak it a bit, but I don't know it is what I want. However thanks for the idea anyways :D

About the buttons, It would be a great if I could get the buttons horizontal but I wouldn't know, apart from the extra wave, how to get the negative white away. personally it doesn't bug me that much.

The button area being to large I think I agree. However if I make the area slimmer, I think the content area becomes to big. It is a rather large area as it is. And making the buttons larger is an option, however I think I disagree with it being better. I do agree with you on the area of the buttons being to wide.

Personally I dislike the wave button, however it does fill the space. The wave however makes the wave come back into the page to often. I want to keep it clean and the wave makes it to chaotic, I think.

I will add a newer version of the site asap and I think I will be going for that one, personally I get the best feeling with it.

Deavas,

Not a bad start with the logo, as said above the white definately works better than the black =]

Now, the template itself...although the curves are a nice effect and everyone loves curves, the template itself needs proper structure. Here's some tips i'd advise you to read and, if you wish, deploy:

- start off by creating a simple structure in Photoshop, consisting of boxes etc to represent the various elements of a website template, e.g. header, navigation, left/right columns, content, footer (I notice you haven't included a footer in your design..something similar to the header but in a smaller scale would make the design make 10x more complete!);

- then, have brainstorming session about what content you're going to have and what navigation links are going to be included - again, helping to create a proper structure, and begin to design around this;

- you can now begin the actuak design process, starting with the header most likely, and working your way down.

This is just a rough guide which I like to work by...you may or may not chose to give it a go but have a read anyway!

Keep us updated,
J

P.S. Throughout the design process, the whole time you're in Photoshop...remember this is going to need coded! Think about what's possible, what's going to work etc =]

I made up my mind kind of. and I will be going for the simple buttons with the gray on them. I also added a sub menu for the portfolio button. I wanna make it so that when you click the portfolio button that the sub menu rollsout below it.

I will upload a screen version of it asap.

Thanks for all the feedback guys ^^
