Need help with font

I am doing logo for web and i stuck,with font.So far all my project were in english language.i did like glossy orb,and mask as quran in orb,i want to add word الله
in arabic type,but i have problem ,whatever font i type its just typing arabic letter separate,not connected,i dont know how to change this,i try from language setting,it wont work,i tried to type in document and place in Illustrator,font automaticlly changes to separate letters.

try from control pannel-language and restart,didnt work too

anyone can help?i use IllustratorCS3 v13

Try to convert the type to curves, and then connect the separate elements manually. Of course, this is an efficient way only if there isn't alot of text to connect.

well it should be done automatically-the connecting when you type in arabic,even when i type in word doc.,or text doc.,its correct,but when i am in Illustrator,will change all again ,i need to know from where settings i can change this,

You can try changing the Tracking from the Character palette (window -> character)

tried that its not working,ok i will change the font,but still letters are not connecting in arabic typing

Try the kerning option, some fonts are really messed up in that maner, just lower de kerning untill ur happy with it. In photoshop is in the text pallete options, Im a newb at illustrator. hope it helps

Adobe suggests that you consider purchasing the Middle Eastern version of Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator CS -ME.

the best you can do is what has been suggested, adjust manually, letter by letter, or connect manually...I often do this with particular fonts, using the pen tool, I connect:)

Well,finally i know what is the problem,if you wonder,its from version.
