Access to Previous Communication with CH

Hi there,

I'd like to know if there is a way to access previous communication with contest holders after they accept the files of the winning design and approve them.

In other words, if they answer a question and immediately after approve the files,
can I still access their comments?

If so, please let me know how to access them.

No we do not have a way fro designers to contact the ch after the contest has closed and finalized. If you have something or need to message the contestholder let us know and we can let the ch know

I asked if there is access to comments which have already been written during the finalization process.

yes, just go to the comment page or minor fix communication area in finalization ..this is for the winner

If you did not win the contest then you have no need to contact the contestholder

How can designers who won a contest access the "minor fix communication area in finalization"
after the contest has closed and finalized?

After the contest has closed and finalized, the link under the PORTFOLIO page disappears.
I was able to access it via a link which was included in one of the emails,
but I'd like to know if there is a way to access it via your web interface.

I think what Lenny is referring to is when the CH writes a message to the designer, but then releases the prize immediately, there is no direct way to access the finalization page in order to view what the CH wrote. I think.. ?

No there is not a way, if there is something that needs to be replied to or comments on then send us a message either in chat with mods or the helpdesk

There is a difference between viewing previous comments
and adding new comments!

While I understand from your reply that designers can't contact
the CH after the contest has closed and finalized,
I'd like to know if there is a way to only view the old comments.

The finalization page exists and I can access it from a link sent to my email.
Indeed, I can't add new comments, but I can view the old comments.
I try to figure out if there is a way to access it from your interface.

HappyGD, you are correct. This is exactly what I'm referring to.

As I said "no" you can click on the email link but that is all, you can not go to finalization from the site.

Hi Lenny. Sorry, we misinterpreted what you were asking. If you just need to review the finalization (not contacting the contest holder), then add "/final" (without quotations) at the end of the contest url. One of the admin here told me to do this one time when I needed to re-download source files for an older contest.

Don't worry only you can view this page. But hopefully this is what you are referring to

DesignByLenny it is still best to contact admin or support through chat with mods or helpdesk if you need something from a closed finalization page. We have no problem contacting the contestholder if needed. We have had clients finalize and close before final files were submitted among other issues or reason for contact.



I know it is not safe to assume, but I will assume the reason why this finalization closes is to encourage the client to contact you by "hire" designer button if more work is needed. We have also had some dishonest designers post in the finalization area after close for various reasons, such as sending message of email contact, to not speaking nice to the client so those are other reasons this area closes.

The finalization and closing will be different with our new site that will be released sometime in June, I am not quite sure what the process will be yet as it is still in development.

I figured out from the link in my email that adding "/final" at the end of the contest url will work.

I just wanted to check with you if there is a user-friendly way to access this page via your interface.

I think that navigating the website is much more convenient than going back and forth
from an email account to the website. This is the only reason why I tried to check with you
if there is a button / link which directs to the finalization page.

Since there is no way to add comments on a closed finalization page,
I don't see any harm in allowing designers to access it.
