pretty cool! I can't draw directly in Illustrator. I mean, I prefer to sketch in pencil first...

ah! very nice, I just got illustrator, have been mostly working with photoshop and gimp till now, it's very different... I'm still trying to grasp quite a few things with how it works.

thanks for the nice comments, i'll share my next tutorial later

    resurepus:
i used to draw it in sketch first, but now i to me, it's faster using illustrator rather than sketch it first

Nice human face tutorial or rather slideshow.
Improving illustrations skills is my next goal.
I have a question about your technique.
I guess you don't used masks in this illustration and you plan shadows at the beginning. It means that you save place for shadows. Becouse i think there is other technique. Working from "back to front" Shadows and other stuff are placed ln layers. Your techniqe seems to be more simple but effects are very good. Tell me if i'm wrong. Thanks.

yes it's true. layers is my key on doing shadows

Hmmm, i use Illustrator for some 10 years now, and it's still unmatched for vectoring!
This is probabely also the reason i like Blender and Sketchup so much, these vectors are great, and you can always put out any size you want. I used to make XL-prints, for advertising on buildings, and it was the only program i used! Today i stuck with the CS3 pack, it's the best pack, dispite the updated CS4 and rest.

    same thing with me ALX,
CS3 is still the best for my graphic application, it's lightweight and more powerful than AI 10

Hey Vektrothunder, You are alive like and your thread with you

I have a question. My tablet problem is that his brand is not a wacom .
Works great in Ps, but in ai pressure is not working. And i have new drivers. All others works great, and even i can turn pressure "on" but pressure doesn,t work. I drew nothing or (when i pressed harder) with full thickness.
Do you use pressure sensitivity in your vector art, for example girl face tutorial ?
I think the best way to solve my problem is to zoom in and draw a shapes. Is any other way ?

Any other member had similar problem ?
