22 Hilarious Comments: Clients From Hell

22 Hilarious Comments: Clients From Hell

It’s Friday. It’s THAT time of the week.

Today’s article is meant to put a smile on your face, or at least make you giggle behind that monitor of yours as you take a productive break.

Designers, you’re much too familiar with these. Sometimes clients just don’t get it and explaining it to them is more effort than complying with their design requests. So you let go, and ignore it but take notes and secretly make their comments into posters.

We present to you with only the best of the comments by clients from hell. In addition, we’ve included some possible responses if you happen to  find yourself in one of these situations. Let’s start with the classics:

Hilarious Client Comment 1

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “Yes, I have all the time in the world. You’re my favourite client and I can’t wait to slave away on this project until you ‘figure out’ what you want.”

Hilarious Client Comment 2

Reasonable response: “Oh, I will. As I play my victory music. And it’s not jazz!”

Hilarious Client Comment 3

Reasonable response: “I’m sorry, which one of us went to art school?”

Hilarious Client Comment 4

Reasonable response: Get your laptop out. Open YouTube. Play the following video:

Reasonable response: “No problem, just email me the list of colors you like but don’t like but want changed and later seen in your design.”

Hilarious Client Comment 6

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “Yes. Yes I can. But you know what? Why don’t you just take my laptop and my office and show me how it’s done.”

On a similar note, from Clients From Hell:

CLIENT: I’m not too sure about the blue…

ME: Actually, that’s green.

CLIENT: Who’s the client?

ME: You.

CLIENT: And what color is it?

ME: …blue?

CLIENT: Right. Now let me see what other shades of blue we have.

We settled on pine-tree ”blue.”

Sometimes it’s most difficult to swallow your pride, and accept that the client is always right. Just nod your head in agreement and keep in mind that you’re one of the many designers suffering a similar fate.

Hilarious Client Comment 7

Reasonable response: “Of course! But know you’re making me step over my ideals as a graphic designer.”

Hilarious Client Comment 8

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “Really? I thought the target market was (insert an actual target audience category).”

Hilarious Client Comment 9

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “Don’t worry, this happens all the time. You must have forgotten to tick the ‘animate gifs’ option in your print settings.”

And now, for the more specific and ridiculous ones. Let’s ‘jazz it up’, shall we?

Hilarious Client Comment 10

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “I know! Kids have so many flaws, how could anyone have taken this photograph?”

Hilarious Client Comment 11

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “I see. So something that appeals to both newborns and adults…”

Hilarious Client Comment 12

Reasonable response: “I don’t comprehend. Could you please compile that information into a pie chart and send it to me? Thanks.”

Hilarious Client Comment 13

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “Kids used to say YOLO a lot as well. (Client is puzzled) You’d like an example? Here goes: I HATE YOUR PROJECT, I QUIT.”

Hilarious Client Comment 14

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “Your office desk must be blinding in the sunlight!”

Hilarious Client Comment 15

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “(Laugh) No worries! We’ll just remove a few wrinkles here and there in Photoshop. (Client expresses his/her interest) Can I Photoshop your pictures to make you look younger? No.”

Hilarious Client Comment 16

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “Everyone but me, apparently!”

Hilarious Client Comment 17

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “I thought it perfect, but okay. Why don’t we invent a new color, hm?”

Hilarious Client Comment 18

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “I was JUST thinking of including a fireplace next to the snow piles!”

Hilarious Client Comment 19

Reasonable response: “You know, you’re absolutely right! That is so 2000s.”

Hilarious Client Comment 20

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “Let’s discuss the possibilities over lunch. In fact, you can SHOW me what a playful sandwich looks like while we’re at it.”

Hilarious Client Comment 21

Clients from Hell - Comments and Posters

Reasonable response: “I’ll just use synonyms. Help. Get more. Moola.”

You may choose to add: “Impressed by my eloquence? Unsure what it means? Moola or moolah are slang terms for money.”

Hilarious Client Comment 22

Reasonable response: “You want it on your desk yesterday? That’s great because I’ve just purchased a time machine. They make them exclusively for graphic designers.”

To really sum up the struggles of every graphic designer, watch this video:

On the behalf of the DC team, we would like to thank our clients for being considerate and appreciative of our designers and their hard work and dedication. Thank you, for not giving us a reason to include you in this list of posters :)

If you have comments from your clients that top these hilarious posters, do write to us or leave them in the comments section below. Our designers at DC will a. have a laugh and b. turn your experiences into a series of posters as well.
