Cool Logos That Use Mascots
Posted on August 21, 2013
Category: Inspiration Box

Does your business have a mascot? It’s actually a pretty popular concept.
Mascot logos can be among some of the most memorable out there. Some of the most popular mascots include animals, human characters and robots. Most mascot-style logos work in one of two ways – with an actual mascot, such as a dog that inspires a visual or a cartoon-like caricature.
Here, we are showcasing a variety of logos with mascots for your inspiration.
Use of Mascots
Mascots can be an easy way to establish your brand presence.
Sports teams use mascots successfully every day. Some of the most recognizable brand mascots include Mail Chimp’s chimp, Ronald McDonald of McDonald’s, Green Giant Vegetables’ Jolly Green Giant, Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Sega Video Games’ Sonic the Hedgehog.
These mascots tell you a little something about the brand and product they sell. You get a feel for the company – whether it is fun or serious and the mascot image helps you know right away what the company is about, making this a successful marketing tool.
How Do You Pick a Mascot?
Picking a mascot may not be the easiest task. Commonly companies that have mascots, use a likeness or image that has a connection to the company or is part of the company name, such as MailChimp.
Other companies use mascots that relate to products. (Just think of how many milk producers use images of cows to represent their brands.) What’s important is that if you opt for a mascot that it makes sense. Pick something that has a logical tie to your company. When asked about the mascot, you should be able to explain why it is important.
Just choosing something because you like cats is not necessarily the best option. Use a mascot as part of your brand identity and company story for the best results.
